Well, this is a brand new endeavor for me but one that has been a long time in coming. About a year ago my husband and I had an idea to start a "coupon ministry". We wanted to start a food pantry of some sort by gathering a team of willing shoppers who would follow a list we created and grab free things each week when they went shopping. Those free things would then be donated to the pantry and then handed out to those in need in our community. We were so excited about this idea, but we had NO idea where to start since we didn't have a home church at the time. We have now found a terrific church and God is opening doors for this dream to become reality.
When the small efforts of many combine, a huge miracle can happen. I believe now is the time, and I can't wait to see what God has in store for us!
My plan for this blog is simple: it will be the resource for those interested in joining us in our efforts to Coupon For Christ, and I will post a list of free items weekly. I am planning a coupon class at our church September 25, 2010, and once the materials are ready I will post the information here.
